Grassroots development is key for the future of the sport- we are at the centre of this movement
Since 2004, we are proud to have positively impacted thousands of students and teachers through our "Learn to Play Cricket" Program. In 2005-2006 we were recipients of an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant which helped us to reach out to schools with coaching clinics and equipment distribution. We continued our efforts over the years, visiting schools and helping them facilitate cricket programs, despite no funding. In 2013, we partnered with CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and led their initiative to spread cricket throughout the schools (Peel District School Board, Toronto District School Board, York Region School Board, Halton District School Board and Hamilton District School Board). In 2013 and 2014 we held highly successful Teacher Coaching Certification Courses (we have now certified over 350 teachers since 2005) and visited and positively impacted hundreds of schools via clinics and workshops.
If your school is interested in having a "Learn to Play Clinic" or you are a teacher (or community recreation leader) and wish to be part of a certification course please contact us and we'll be glad to send you information on upcoming programs.
